French police called off their search for a woman who threw herself in front of a speeding train when they found that she had dragged herself home and gone to bed, a court source told Reuters Wednesday.

The 58-year-old, who suffered from depression, jumped in front of the train Tuesday as it sped through the station at Herrlisheim near Strasbourg at around 150 km per hour, prompting the driver to alert the police.

Discovering only a small blood stain on the train and the platform, police called in helicopters to find the woman who they presumed had been sent flying by the collision, public prosecutor Laurent Guy said Wednesday.

But the search was called off when the woman's partner, returning from a night shift, found her lying in bed with a broken arm and other injuries and rang the emergency services.
The woman, who had attempted suicide in the past, was subsequently hospitalized.

When John Madden attached his name to a football video game in 1989, no one could have seen its extreme popularity coming. The 2010 version of the game will be released August 14, and hordes of fans will be in line at midnight openings of video game stores around the country.

Apparently, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh will not be among them.

Houshmandzadeh did an interview with Colin Cowherd of ESPN Radio, and told the host he would be boycotting the latest version of the
game. He said he's not happy with his rating.

"I understand I averaged 10 yards a
catch, but it's the offense, not me. I'm not playing Madden no more until they get my rating right. ... I used to be the best in the world at Madden. I'm going to miss not playing it, but until they do me right, I'm not playing it any more."

You may want to know what this awful rating is for Houshmandzadeh. As Mike Sando notes, it's 91. The game rates him as the sixth-best receiver in the NFC.
Unless you're a direct relative of Houshmandzadeh's, it's hard to argue with any of the five (cover boy Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, Roddy White, and Calvin Johnson) rated ahead of Houshmandzadeh. All of this is probably a good thing for Seattle.

After all, Houshmandzadeh is portraying himself as a guy with a lot to prove, and the
sizable chip on his shoulder now includes this video game flap. Whether he actually buys the game, rents the game, or plays the game at a buddy's house is irrelevant. Some guys need the extra psychological boost that comes from feeling disrespected. If Houshmandzadeh is that kind of player, these latest comments will only help him as he starts his career anew as a number one receiver for the first time.

I hate to see this kind of foolishness. This college educated 32 year old rapper Plies is the epitome of everything that is wrong with the music industry.

Plies only has a two Gold records and has only been in the business for 2 years, so he is definitely not rich enough to wear chains like those pictured, and own real estate and have a decent financial portfolio.

Now that we can already see the chains and other jewelry, there is only 1 of 2 ways this thing can go, here are the two scenarios, either...

1. Plies is quite shrewd, the jewelry is fake and he lives in a mansion with tons of investments that bring in good money for him a regular basis.

2. Plies has about as much sense as hard rake, those chains are real, he lives with his mother in an apartment with 4 tricked out NON-APPRECIATING cars in the parking lot.

Now I don't normally judge a book by its cover but I will today, and judging by the expensive tattoos, the 47 chains, the designer boxers, designer belt and designer jeans, I am almost certain Plies falls under the the number 2 category.

When STUPID attacks!!!

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Officials said a wild hog attacked a woman in the back yard of her home. St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue reported that a 26-year-old woman was told there was a pig in her back yard Monday afternoon.

When she went outside to investigate, the 200-pound animal charged her, cutting the back of her left leg.

Rescuers were able to treat the woman for her injury at the scene. An animal control officer lassoed the hog and transported it to the Pinellas County Animal Control Office for rabies testing.

What are you investigating?!?! People make me sick!!! You mean to tell me, someone tells you, there is huge pig in your yard, and you are INSIDE and then you go OUTSIDE to look!!??!! You don’t have windows in your house?

What are you going to do when you get out there? What if you see the huge pig which turned out to be a wild hog, what happens then? LEAVE THESE ANIMALS ALONE!!! They are animals, they are not children, they are not cute, and they are not harmless. Animals bite, eat and kill people on the reg!! They don’t know the difference between you and a steak dinner! STAY IN THE HOUSE!!!

BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afternoon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday.

The bear attacks the woman during feeding time.

One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said.
Zoo workers tossed rescue rings toward the woman to hoist her out and distract polar bears swimming nearby, said Goerg Gebhard, a Berlin police officer.
At one point the woman fell back into the water and was grabbed by a bear before she was eventually hoisted to safety.
"They saved her life," Gebhard told CNN.
The woman was severely injured and was being treated at a hospital, police said.
It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing.
Berlin Zoo is home to Knut, the first polar bear to be born there in over 30 years. The bear became a huge talking point in Germany when his mother gave birth to him in December 2006.

Let me start by quoting CNN...they actually said..."It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat". I have a pretty good idea of why she jumped in there!!! CAN YOU SAY "BATPOOP CRAZY"?!?!!

Then CNN had the nerve to name the story "Polar bear attacks woman at Berlin Zoo ". Thats like saying you broke into my house while I was eating and I attacked you.

Those bears were eating and minding their own business and some psycho jumps in the water and swims TOWARDS the bears!!! I bet a paycheck the bear said to himself..."Hey fool don't you know I AM A bear aaaand a hungry bear.....I am eating!?!?! I should bite you just on general purpose"!!!
